The place "At Petra“ is located in an older apartment building right next to the hotel “To BaRomani".
It's actually a snack that seit 40 Jahren (in 2022 it was 40 years) is run by different owners and belongs to the inventory of Cala Millor.
The restaurant achieved cult status when it was mentioned in the “Marco Polo” travel guide.
Even the latest edition mentions "Bei Petra" as "a cafeteria that caters to German guests".
Which restaurant on Mallorca can do that?
The name "Bei Petra" goes back to two former innkeepers, one of whom was called Petra.
The name has always stayed the same, but the operators have changed.
Giovanni, a German with Italian roots, has been running the restaurant for more than 20 years (as of 2022).
This also explains the addition "Giovanni's beach snack and Giovanni's cafeteria" on the new name tag of the restaurant.
The restaurant can be reached via a staircase with three steps.
The interior is simple but functional.
A large counter dominates the room.
The furniture consists of comfortable wicker chairs and tables.
The front of the interior can be opened completely when the weather is nice.
The small outdoor gastronomy consists of four tables with a direct view of the beach promenade, separated only by a larger green area.
Two large parasols protect you from the sun.

Bei Petra is a typical beach snack bar.
The restaurant is an ideal starting point for everyone who is strolling on the Beachwant to take a short break or eat or drink something on the beach.
The menu consists mainly of German dishes such as Bockwurst, Thuringian Bratwurst, Currywurst and Nürnberger Rostbratwurst with various side dishes.
Of course, the gypsy schnitzel and the Bavarian meat loaf should not be missing.
A Serrano ham platter and prawns in garlic oil are offered as Spanish specialties.
But fish dishes are also on the menu.
Daily changing specialties are offered on handwritten chalk boards.
Various salads and sandwiches complete the offer.
There is something for every taste.
You should definitely not miss the various homemade cakes.
So if you don't want to do without German food on holiday in Spain, you've come to the right place.
Our personal opinion:
In the truest sense of the word, there is no way around the “Bei Petra” restaurant.
If this cult snack bar is already mentioned in the "Marco Polo" travel guide, you should have been there once.
The location is great, right on the Beach, right in Cala Millor.
Here you can just sit and watch the hustle and bustle on the beach promenade.
Portions are large and prices are reasonable, so it's value for money.
Giovanni serves here very attentively, quickly and friendly.
There is a very nice, almost family atmosphere, hospitality is very important.
That's why you often meet here regulars.
Don't miss the currywurst with fries.
