Amore Mio
Our new number 1 – and for good reason: Amore Mio is the only place in town where the pizza is still baked in a traditional stone oven . That's exactly what makes the difference – the base becomes crispy and airy at the same time within minutes at high heat, just as you'd real Italian pizza know it from Italy. The dough is made in-house and topped right in front of you at the live pizza station before it goes into the oven. Add to that the open terrace, a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a heartfelt host couple who make this place truly special – many guests have been coming back year after year. La Locanda
Just barely beaten into 2nd place: a small, cozy restaurant right near the beach on Carrer Platja. At La Locanda, pizza takes center stage – thin, fresh and topped with plenty of love. Guests particularly praise the calzone and the homemade tiramisu. Since the place is small and popular, it can get busy – it's only open in the evenings, with Monday and Tuesday as days off. Tomeu
Tomeu on Carrer Cristòfol Colom is a safe bet for great Italian food. Alongside pizza, the restaurant shines with its pasta – the classic dish is pasta prepared right in front of you inside a wheel of Parmesan. Friendly service, generous portions and a cosy atmosphere make Tomeu a spot many guests return to again and again during their holiday. Sunday is a rest day. Frankys Pizzas
If you're after pizza to go, there's hardly any way around Frankys. The pizzas are made fresh to order, come in various sizes and at fair prices – perfect for taking straight to the beach. The team speaks German, English and Spanish, and there's a good selection for vegetarians too. Sapori d'Italia
A real insider tip just off the main street on Carrer Alosa. Sapori d'Italia impresses with truly authentic Italian cuisine – the pizzas, the pasta and the homemade tiramisu all consistently earn top marks. Some tables even offer a sea view. The service is known for being especially friendly and quick. One tip: cards aren't always accepted, so it's best to bring some cash along. Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Due
With over 2,400 reviews, Pizzería Due is one of the best-known spots in town. The pizza comes thin and crispy, plus there's an extensive menu with pasta, steaks and more – ideal for families and larger groups, since there's something for everyone. Bella Napoli
Bella Napoli is located at the crossover towards Sa Coma, opposite the Hotel Mercedes. The restaurant is popular with many guests for its authentic Italian cuisine – a tip from the reviews is the focaccia pizza with tomatoes, arugula and mozzarella. The team is considered attentive and good-humoured. As with any pizzeria, there are occasional critical voices, but overall the positive feedback prevails. Open daily from midday to evening.

Palermo Bistro
A small newcomer on Carrer Llum that impresses with top-notch ratings. Palermo Bistro scores with visibly handmade pasta and pizza, generous portions and excellent value for money. The reviews are still limited in number, but consistently enthusiastic – quite a few guests come back several evenings in a row. Monday is the rest day, open in the evenings. An insider tip worth keeping an eye on.

Grattini Cala Millor
Grattini on Carrer Llum is many people's favourite spot for lunch in Cala Millor. The pizza arrives with a good base, fresh ingredients and always hot, plus there's a lovely terrace and friendly service. The pasta and desserts – keyword pistachio – are also praised. Price-wise, Grattini sits in the mid-range, but the quality is right. Saturday is the rest day.

Leo’s
Restaurante Leo’s is right in the heart of the action on Carrer Cristòfol Colom, just a few steps from the beach. The menu is broad – alongside pizza there are burgers, Mediterranean dishes and really good cocktails (the take-away cocktails complete with decorative flamingo are a little highlight). A solid choice for a relaxed lunch or a casual dinner with good service. Tuesday is the rest day, otherwise open daily from midday to midnight.
